Naming Conventions for Folders in Lotus Notes

Folders are a great way of organizing all of you email. They can be a big help. However, if named incorrectly, folders could cause some problems. Read this quicksheet to learn ways you should and should not name your folders in your Lotus Notes email account.

Several keywords should not be used as a folder name or as the first word of a folder name.
This would be necessary to avoid problems.
Some keywords include:

Calendar
Meeting
To Do or ToDo
Task
Sent

Basically, any keywords you see on your screen while on Lotus Notes should not be used to name any of your folders. If you insist on using any of these naming conventions already in use by Lotus, simply add a word to the front of the name. Example: Instead of having your own folder named "To Do", name your folder "My To Do". This should eliminate any problems that you would have previously with folders.
