Moving Email into a Folder
   
 

The Information Technology Department of Carlow University has become aware of an issue of dragging email into a folder in Lotus Notes. This is caused by the installation of a recently released Microsoft patch. Read below to find two different ways to complete this task.

Method 1

1). Login to your Lotus Notes email account at http://lotus.carlow.edu

2). Click the Mail tab at the top of the screen to access your inbox. (The red circle)

3). Right Click on any email you wish to move to another folder. This should bring a drop down menu with a long list of choices.

4). Go through the list of choices until you see Move To Folder...
Click Move To Folder... (red rectangle).



5). In the Move to Folder dialog box, click the folder you wish to put the email.

Method 2

1). Once inside of your inbox, highlight any email you wish to move into another folder by clicking on that email. The email should have a blue bar around it.

2). Roll your mouse over the word Move at the top of your inbox until you see the drop down menu. Click the Move To Folder... link (red circle).

Simply click the Move button at the top (red rectangle).



3). In the Move to Folder dialog box, click the folder you wish to put the email.
