This procedure will help to reduce the size of your mailbox file on our Lotus servers and contribute to the overall health of our mail system.
Connect to
the Internet, open your browser and go to http://lotus.carlow.edu and login as you normally would.
Open up an email with an attachment in it by double clicking the email.
(An email that has an attachment will have a paper clip icon before the subject line in your inbox.)
NOTE: Once you delete the attachment, it will be completely removed from your email. If you need to keep the attachment, please save it to your computer by clicking the floppy disc icon inside of the email.
Once the email is open, click on the Edit this Document icon at the top of the window.
The window will change to allow you to edit that email. (You may have to click once in the body of your email to activate the control before you can do this step.)
1. Click on the attachment.
2. Click the trash can icon to delete the attachment.

| When the new window opens, click Yes to delete the attachment. |

| Click the Save and Close button at the top of the email window. |

When you refresh the window, the attachment will no longer be on the email.
