When PowerPoint
opens you have a fewchoices in how you want to create a new presentation; Auto
Content Wizard, Template, Blank
Presentation, or you can Open an existing presentation.
If already working in PowerPoint,
click Open in the File menu and find
the Presentation tab.
Start the Auto Content
Wizard, then follow the instructions.
Double-click Slide 1 to switch
to slide view, and then type the text for your presentation in the
sample text area.
Use the scroll bar to move to the
other slides, and continue to type your text in place of the sample
text for each slide. |

Click Open in
the File menu and find the General tab.
Select Blank Presentation,
and then select an Auto Layout for the first slide.
Type the title and enter any
other content you want on the slide.
Click Insert on
menu bar, click New Slide, then select a layout
from examples shown for the next slide. Click OK or
press Enter key to finish. |

Click on Insert in
the menu bar, click Insert, Picture and
select Clip Art from the fly-out menu to make a
choice from PowerPoint clipart or select From File to
select a picture from a different source.
Find the category you want, select
the image, and click on insert. |

Click New in
the File menu and find the Presentation
Designs tab.
Scroll to see all the design templates
and select the one you like.
Scroll to see the design layouts
and select a layout for your title slide.
Type in the text for this slide.
Click Insert on
menu bar, click New Slide, then select a layout from
examples shown for the next slide. Click OK or press Enter key to
finish. |

Open the presentation
you want to save as a slide show.
Click Save As in
the File menu.
Click the arrow next File of
Type to select Power Point Show from the
drop-down list.
Click Save button. |

In the View menu,
click Notes Page.
Click once in the notes box
(has dotted outline with ‘click here to add text’)
to enter your notes for the current slide.
In the View menu,
click Master, select Handout Master.
Add the slides you want to appear
only on the handouts.
When you print your presentation,
be sure to print your handouts at the same time. |
