Forgotten Password
*New procedure for Blackboard user password changes if user can access Blackboard but has forgotten their password.
 
1. Go to http://blackboard.carlow.edu/

2. Click on the login button and you will be forwarded to
http://blackboard.carlow.edu/webapps/login

3. At this screen select the hyperlink for Forgot your password?

4. This hyperlink will take you to screen where the user can type their username or type their email address to be sent an email that will send them a hyperlink to update and change their password.

**Warning that when typing in First Name, Last Name, and the username those fields are case sensitive and the email has to be the full email address for the user exp.

If you forget your Blackboard password, you can click on the FORGOT YOUR PASSWORD link. You do NOT need to contact the Help Desk for a password to be reset.

To use the Forgot Your Password option, you will need to:

  1. Enter your formal first name as it appears on your Student record (this field is case sensitive).

2. Enter your last name (this field is case sensitive).

3. Enter either your full Carlow e-mail address (example smithjm@carlow.edu) or your Blackboard Username.

4. Be able to access your Carlow e-mail to retrieve the Blackboard Change Password email that will be sent to you with a direct link to submit a password change on the Blackboard system and log in to Blackboard. Access your Carlow e-mail account at http://lotus.carlow.edu
