	Using Blackboard with Windows Vista

	POSTING TO THE DISCUSSION BOARD Microsoft’s new operating system, Windows Vista, is not compatible with the discussion board feature in Blackboard. In order to be able to post messages, you have to disable your visual text box editor tool. If you are using Windows Vista, perform the steps below:

	1). Login to blackboard (http://blackboard.carlow.edu).

	2). From the Carlow Welcome page, click on the link for Personal Information.

	3). On the Personal Information page, click on the link for “Set Visual Text Box Editor Options.”

	4). On the Set Visual Text Box Editor Options page, select the radio button “Unavailable.”

	5). Navigate to the bottom of the page and click the Submit button.

	6). A message will be displayed indicating your options have been successfully updated. Click the OK button.

	7). On the Personal Information page, click the OK button to be directed back to your Carlow Welcome page.
