This summer, we completed our second year of a major investment in smart classroom technology. From an Information Technology standpoint, for a classroom to be considered a “smart classroom,” it must be outfitted with a podium, computer, DVD/VCR, ceiling mounted projector, speakers, and a screen.
New smart classrooms on campus include: AJP 115, AJP 116, ANT 513, AQU 308, and AQU 408.
In addition to these new rooms, some existing rooms received equipment upgrades. AJP 107, 119, and 120 all received new ceiling mounted projectors.
We are now very proud to proclaim that Carlow has an inventory of 23 smart classrooms on campus. Our goal is to make every classroom a smart classroom and we will continue to invest our time and resources towards this goal. Several criteria are considered when prioritizing which rooms will become smart classrooms. The University considers existing infrastructure in the rooms as well reviews data from the Media Services group outlining what type of equipment was requested and delivered most and to which classrooms on campus. |
