Datatel

This past spring, the University announced its plans to begin conversion to a new administrative system, Datatel. Carlow is blessed to have an Administrative Computing Team leading in this process. Members of the team on campus include:
  • Admissions: Gail McDonough, Susan Shutter, JoAnn Simpson, Kelly Skeehan, and Evonne Thomas
  • Advancement: Lawna Blankenship and Amy Lloyd
  • Finance: Neil Bayer and Dawn Pettit
  • Financial Aid: Joyce McDermott and Natalie Wilson
  • Human Resources: Carey Libertini, Evan Tachoir, Andra Tokarsky
  • Information Technology: Stacey Osterman, Monika Schwartz, and Kevin Crawford (Project Manager)
  • Institutional Research: Catherine Ott
  • Registrar: Laura Deutsch, Kathleen Larkin
  • Residence Life: Mary Beth Halferty
  • Student Accounts: Ginny Mikulan and Linda Root
  • Student Affairs: George Sliman

In addition to the Administrative Computing team listed above, we are grateful to our many users who have also participated in Datatel training over the summer of 2007. Thank you to all for your commitment and dedication! The conversion process formally began the end of June with many members of our community attending CORE training on the new Datatel system. A brief synopsis of the timeline for our conversion is highlighted below:

Kevin has over 12 years of higher education administrative computing experience and was most recently serving the University of Pittsburgh as a Database/Software Architect in the Financial Information Systems Department. We are all excited about the experience Kevin will bring to our Carlow IT team!
  Matt WilliamsMatt Williams -
Help Desk Technician
Matt Williams is the newest member of the IT staff at Carlow. He comes to Pittsburgh from the Washington D.C. area, having worked in desktop support for eight years. The majority of that time was spent at Marymount University, another smaller Catholic University with similar characteristics to Carlow. Please be sure to welcome Matt when he starts on August 6.
