Updates on Summer Projects from the I. T. Guy

   Surveillance System

The Information Technology department will be working with Carlow's police department and vendors over the summer to get
bids on and install a new campus surveillance system. This will likely be a two-phase project with this year's
priorities including our parking lots and other external secluded areas on campus. More information will follow.

                  Improvements to Our Events Facilities
Over the summer, three large projects will take place to improve our event facilities across campus. These include a new speaker system for St. Agnes, a projector and stage mounted presentation screen in Antonian Theatre, and a speaker system for the AJP atrium. All of these improvements will help to accommodate the growing number of campus events using these facilities.

Thanks to all faculty and staff who attended a Computer Cafe class this academic year. We are pleased to report that 45 classes are offered to 366 participants! What a huge success! If you would like to see a specific class taught, feel free to make a suggestion. We will be busy planning the fall schedule of classes over the summer and will announce the schedule in the back-to-school edition of Bit-n-Bytes in August!

The web team is busy working on Phase V of our master Web reconstruction plan. This phase focuses on all support services of the University and the team is working with many individual offices to ensure that their content is updated by the end of the summer. If you are part of a support service area on campus and have not been contacted yet, please feel free to contact us to ensure your changes are incorporated.
