Residence
Halls:
The campus residence halls will receive a complete refurbishing
of the network closets beginning May 10th. During
this project, the network closets will be rewired and
all room jacks will be inspected, tested for connectivity,
and relabeled to ensure that the labeling in the closet
matches that in the room. By correctly labeling
each port, we will be able to solve network problems
in the halls faster. This project will be started
on May 10th and take approximately one month
to complete. |

Computer
Room:
Our centralized data-center has been undergoing a variety
of improvements that will be completed on May 22nd. These
enhancements include rewiring of electrical work in the
computer room to include a new electrical feed from Grace
Library, installation of a 30KVA uninterruptible power
supply, and a raised data-center floor. We
hope that future enhancements will include a fire suppression
system and a generator for extended backup power.
