Lotus Notes has a chat feature available, that
allows you to “chat” with other Carlow Lotus Notes
users, if they have the chat feature enabled.
Instant messages (chats) are interactive, real-time text conversations.
You can see who is online and send an instant, real-time message
to them.
You must enable Instant Messaging before you can use Chat and
see who is on line. After you enable Instant Messaging, your
online status is visible to other users, and you can see who
is available online. The online status appears in your mail messages
and mail Inbox views as a green square to the left of their name.
