Working with Messages for Follow Up
   
 

If you need to take action on an e-mail message that you receive, you can mark the message with a Follow Up Flag. You can also keep track of your Follow Up items by clicking on the Follow Up folder.

Mark Messages for Follow Up:

1). Click on the Mail Tab.

2). Double click on the message to open the
message

3). Point to the Follow Up tab.

4). Select Add/Edit Flag from the drop down list.


Click Add/Edit Flag

 

5). Choose the Importance of the Follow Up action (Urgent, Normal or Low Priority)
- Enter a Follow Up action
- Select a Follow up date
- Select a Follow up time (optional)

To remove a message from your Inbox after it is marked for follow up select “Remove from Inbox” (optional) – the message is still available in the Follow Up folder.
Note: if you do not select “Remove from Inbox” the message will appear in your inbox and in your follow up folder.

6).Click Save & Close

7). From your Inbox (and Follow Up folder) you will notice a Follow Up flag to the left of the message
Note: a red flag indicates High Priority, a green flag indicates Normal Priority, and a yellow flag indicates Low Priority
Double click on the message to open the message.

8). When you open the message, you will notice under the Subject line, that a line is added “For Follow up” and the Priority flag.
Also included is the date for the follow up and the action to be taken
- Click on the X along the tab row to close the window

View the Message in Follow Up Folder

1). Click on the Follow Up folder from the Mail tab.

2). Double click on the message to open the message

Edit a Follow Up

1). From your Follow Up folder, double click on the message to open the message
Select Add/Edit Flag from the drop down list.

2). Edit the Follow-up:
You can change:
The importance (priority) of the Follow Up action
The Follow Up Action text
The Follow Up Date and Time

3). Click Save & Close to keep the changes

Remove a Follow Up Flag

1). Click on the Follow Up folder

2). Double click on the message to open the message

3). Point to the Follow Up tab

4). Select Remove Flag
The message will now be removed from your Follow Up folder.
