Customizing the Mouse
   
 

You can customize your mouse settings, such as button configuration, speed, mouse pointers, and motion speed.   Also see our Mouse Tips.

 

1).From the Start Menu, choose Control Panel

 


2). Click on Switch to Classic View

 

3). Double click on Mouse icon


On the Buttons tab you can change:

  • Button configuration
    • switch primary and secondary buttons (recommended for those that are left-handed)
  • Double-click speed
  • ClickLock (enables you to highlight or drag without holding down the mouse button)

 

On the Pointers tab

- You can select the Scheme

 

On the Pointers tab

- You can also customize the various mouse features

 

 

On the Pointer Options tab

- You can select a pointer speed
- Snap To (Automatically move the pointer to the default button in a dialog box)
- Choose the Visibility of the pointer

Click OK to have any changes you made, take effect

 

Mouse Tips:

  • A single right click on the mouse gives you a Context Sensitive (a menu that includes options about the area of screen that you clicked) Shortcut Menu.
  • To clean your mouse - if you have a traditional mouse
    • Take off the ball cover shield and use alcohol and tissue/cotton swab to clean the rollers.
