Printing Possibilities
   
 

When using Microsoft Word or Internet Explorer there are several ways to print.
You can use the toolbar, menu bar or keyboard shortcuts.
A whole document can be printed, single page or only selected text.
You can also print several copies of the same document.

 

Using the Printer Icon

1). Click on the Printer icon on the toolbar

2). The whole document is printed using the default printing options


Using the File, Print Menu

1). Select Print from the File menu

 

2). After selecting Print from the File menu, the Print Dialog box will appear

3). To print the entire document
Select the page range: All

You can also select the Number of copies.

 

4). Click on the Properties button

 

5). Click on the Paper/Quality tab

6). Choose the Quality Settings: Best, Normal , Draft or Custom

7). Choose Color: Black & White or Color

8). Click OK

Tip: to save colored printer ink, choose Draft and Black& White

 

9). Click OK to print the document

The whole document is printed using the properties you selected

 

Rather than printing the whole document, you can print only a selected part of it. The selection may be just a few words, sentences or paragraphs, or may extend across several pages.

1). Highlight the text you would like to print

2). After selecting Print from the File menu, the Print Dialog box will appear.

3). To print a selected part of a document:
Select the page range: Selection

4). Click OK

Only the text you have highlighted will print

 

1). To print a specific page or a range of pages

2). Select the page range: Pages and type in the pages you would like to print

3). Click OK

Only the pages you selected will print

 

Using the Keyboard Shortcut
1). Press CTRL+P
The CTRL+P keyboard shortcut will print the entire document or text that you have highlighted.

 

Using Print Preview

Before you print, it is recommended that you preview your documents

1).Select Print Preview from the File menu

 

 

The way your document will be printed is displayed on the screen.

2).Click Close to return to your document

 

 

Printing Web Pages

1). When printing from Internet Explorer and you want to print only a section of the web page - highlight the text you would like to print

Then choose one of the printing options below:

- Click on the Printer Icon from the tool bar

- Choose File, Print from the menu bar

- CTRL+P keyboard shortcut
