The The Office of Information Technology has received several reports of new versions of the BAGLE virus on campus. There are already 3 new versions that have manifested themselves over the weekend.

We are asking that ALL members of the campus community perform the following steps immediately:

1) If you are a student, and do not have virus protection: please purchase and install virus protection immediately. There are a limited number of McAfee Virus Software packages available for purchase at the helpdesk in Antonian Hall. Be careful - if you recently bought a new computer - your trial virus protection may have expired.

2) If you have virus software - please update your anti-virus dat files immediately. If you have McAfee, you can do so by downloading the current super-dat file from our web-site:
http://www.it.carlow.edu/updates/index.html
(under the section link entitled "Latest Super-Dat File for McAfee.")
